black wire above ash tray

had a black looking wire hanging below dash, when investigating it went to a plastic clip or something plugged into the dash above the ash tray door. what is it for and where does it plug too?

It’s a fiber optic light. It connects to the cluster

Nope you just won’t have a light there. There’s no electricity there at the end.
