Best way to get my AC going

I have this GM serpentine setup on my truck. I have never filled the compressor. I've been given vastly different numbers on making AC lines to hook everything up. Just wondering if it would not be better to just change the condenser and drier, then use the lines that would have been made for a later model truck and have an all new AC system. If I was pricing the parts correctly, it doesn't seem more expensive. I don't really know what I am doing though, so maybe I'm leaving something out.

I would just source the lines from a later model vehicle and change what needed to be changed accordingly. I think custom made lines would be an excessive route to take.

Suburban lines without rear ac or jimmy lines should work 88-91. My old 85 truck I ordered lines from 91 suburban without ac. But custom lines are actually about same price
