Highly debating the cliffs HP kit because it comes with everything. Is that overkill?

Also thinking of picking up a used carb for spare parts, choke housing, idle solenoid thing.

Do I need the idle solenoid?

It's very useful. I use it to bump up the idle speed I'd pick up the extra carb for external parts. The internal passages may be different if the carb Id numbers are different tho.

If the rest of my sensors are not hooked up does it function? The one I had didn't work at all so I threw it away

I wired mine up with the AC compressor. It works like a charm.:) that's how I'd tell anyone to wire it.

If only that worked. Haven't got a chance to check that out yet.
