Those are pretty tame from what I have heard on videos...even quieter with tailpipes, until you get on it, then they wake up.

Yeah, but these don't wake up. It sounds stock, even on the inside with no tailpipes (just turndowns). I've ran these mufflers before and there was drone with no tailpipes installed. They also were a bit more throaty... they must have changed something about them.

Maybe tighter packing.

im running 3 in. to 2.5 glasspack back to a 3 in. Y to 2.25 out the ass to magnaflow tips, dumped my magnaflow muffler it was super quiet even in a hard acceleration, now i get into it and it sounds like it should but quiet at an idle i love it, i have friends with straight pipes and its just ungodly loud and obnoxious. i mean to each their own i love my glasspack with no glass left in it just the baffles inside of it

i have the thrush welded mufflers on my 90 jimmy tbi 350 stock manifolds 2.5 dual out the back under the bumper

trush welded mufflers are about the same as a flowmaster 40's but half the price

on my 84 jimmy 500 horse 454 headers flowmaster 40's 2.5 pipe out the back under bumper sounds great idle is not to loud driving sounds great full throttle awsome

i plan to put flowmaster 40's on my crew cab 383 headers 2.5 turned towards the ground behind the axle alot of pipe on the crew cab to quiet the 40's down a bit should sound awsome
