Good day...I recently purchased this truck and it does not have the original bench seat. I am wondering if anyone can tell me what color it is and maybe even what possible year its from? It has some fading but relatively pretty good shape.

Thanks!

Are all the bolts and brackets bolted in factory location? I can't tell you by looking what a C10 seat looks like from year to year, but also wouldn't be able to say that looks like an f150 or D100 seat. That's why ask if everything looks like it's bolted to factory location.

The plastic side trim pieces tell me it’s from a much later truck than your ‘75. Early trucks (at least through the early 80’s) had a visible metal bracket connecting the seat cushion to the back, and it did not have a plastic trim covering.

My 74 foldable bench has plastic trim on the sides.

I may be confused because my ‘75 does not have the original seat. The trim pieces may have come with higher trim level packages, not on later seats.

Does it fold? If it folds, I think it might be a 1980, not a 75 and not an 81. You can see a few images of each of those on a previous post of mine.

I did find some guy on another forum who could tell what year a bench was from based on spring style, hinges and tracks. You'd have to search the https://67-72chevytrucks.com/ forum to find it.

I also say late 70s or early 80s. If it was mid 80s, it would have the seat belts coming through the cushion, instead of coming from between the cushion and back rest.

That started in '81. In addition, the '81-up lower cushion is shaped a little differently on the sides- it's not just a flat side.
