So I recently took my truck for a test drive, and all was fine and well until it started to smoke, once I got back to my house, I opened up the hood to see a giant splatter of ATF inside my engine bay. I checked the cooler lines, and advance, and all the mechanisms that I know would use ATF, and none of them appear to have exploded and shot ATF everywhere. My best guess is that it somehow shot out of the dipstick, it is possible I left it lose before the drive, but was just curious if anyone has experienced a similar problem

Yep, it’s only on the passenger side of the engine bay, the drivers side is clean except for a few drops, and the power steering pump and lines have no evidence of any leak whatsoever

Wash the engine bay, keep the dipstick seated and see if it happens again.
