Not a chance. I removed mine in favor of the guard. The factory bumper guards completely cover the area where the bumper bolts to the frame, the grille guard has to use those mounting holes.

I had the same one on my 86, it actually caused more damage than it saved when I hit the ditch. Looksed cool tho, but really doesnt do anything ato protect against anything larger than a mid sized dog.

I had one that I actually integrated into a home made plow frame, it took a beating, very strong.

Where did you get it? And how thick are the side plates? Because the ones from lmc are 5/16 inch I believe

I'd say it was that thick. I came with the truck so I don't know what make it was, it was chrome and had 3" cross tubes. This was like 10 years ago.

Mine is strong, nothing flimsy about it. I think the cross tubes are 3" also.

Measure center to center of your bumper mounting bolts, and make a cardboard cutout of the bumper form.
Take this down to a local Fabrication/Steel shop.
My local shop quoted me at 145 material & labor. They even recommended some modifications for light mounts and how to make it a bit sturdier at no extra cost
