Yea, I've got some pics of my current project in the works. I'm still trying to figure out how to post them.
I just got this short bed 83 GMC from my paw-in-law back in November. He bought it new and decided to pass it down to my son's who are still 9 & 8 years old. He figured it would make a good bonding project for us.

Good idea. Great bonding project. But, do it now, don't wait til they are 13 or 14 to start. By then they're chasing ***** and don't care about doing a project. I'm pretty disappointed in my son. Of all the talking we did about working on the trucks, he's no help at all. When I do get him a for a few minutes, he can't shut up about, how long will that take, what all we going to do to it today? Can't that wait, etc etc, I usually just end up running him off. He's not interested. He just reads and responds to texts to whole time we're trying to work on it, and he's not even paying attention. I'm not begging him, and if he's not interested why bother?

I hear ya. I have already started bringing them with me to the salvage yards and my oldest has helped pull parts. He seems to be interested so I'm going to run with it as long as I can. Oh, and no cell phones for them until they can pay for one and the account for themselves and are out from under my roof. I hate those things.
I have three daughters from a previous "life". I can relate to a kid ignoring a parent and keeping a damn cell phone permanently attached to their hands, eyes and ears. All three of them don't seem to know I exist. Their mother didn't support my cell phone views. Come to think of it, she didn't support any of my views for that matter.

Na. That's close to Baton Rouge. I live about 15 miles from the Texas/Louisiana line in the south west corner of the state. Right above lake Charles just outside a town called DeRidder.
