I would sacrifice my first born to find a set of Magnum slots in 8 lug pattern...

I keep hoping someone will repop the turbine style in an 8 lug, that isn't a 16.5 diameter.

With our 8 lugs, we have a considerable well of wheels to choose from, all dodge wheels fit, also ford up to 2010 fit. The wheels you are talking about are actually pretty nice looking on squares and fit just fine, I believe the backspacing is only off .5 from the stock steels your running now.

you sure about that with Ford, I have read its 97+ that doesnt fit and up to 2010 (ish) Chevy. I have H2 wheels for my truck.

I'm in a similar boat. I have the later model steelies (you see them on base models and delivery vans and such) but the PO painted them black and it wasn't a great paint job. Been thinking about some old school aluminum - centerline style with small holes or the directional triangles. But then I found these on Offerup - What do you guys think of this style on a 3/4 ton square?

Those are American Racing AR-23's. They still make them in 16x7 and 16x8s. I always liked that style. Nice thing the machine finish is powder coated clear.

Nope, not mine. I'm looking for 8 lug aluminum as well and these pop up in my CL searches. Unfortunately the ones I was looking at sold to someone else....

Use 16's. Anything larger does not look right on old Chevrolet trucks.

I have to disagree too. I have a set of 16.5 x 9.75 slots that rocked on my '77 I used to have. My son got them out of the shed and cleaned one up and I still like them. Just don't have anything to put them on right now.

I think as long as you have a little lift going up to 17's doesn't look too different, especially if it is a classic style wheel.... Using wheels like the black steelies or the 5 slot magnums would look perfectly fine I think, but once you start going with the stuff where there is 10 inches of wheel sticking out it looks kind of non-functional in my opinion. They look like they would not survive offroad with heavy use to me.

Sorry fellas. My bad. I like 16.5's myself. But tire selection is few and far between. I have an old set of 1968 spokes that are 16.5. I hope to mount some tires someday.

I’ve seen some place on eBay that makes slot mags and sell them with no holes drilled so you can have a local machine shop drill whatever you want
