Not positive, but I think small block and big block matter too. My 84 is different from my 85 too but 1 is SBC and 1 is BBC.

Just Cuz it fits here and is on topic, looky what I picked up at PAP the other day. The whole unit, duct and all, $5 + tx. I was pretty happy. I expected it to be $15-$20. And it appears to have a brand new element in it too. Prolly a FRAM since it's Orange on the top and bottom. Figured the filter alone was worth the $5.

Yeah, that's why I got it. Right now, the C20 has a tall filter with the lid flip trick. That's the way I got the truck. I figured I could use this one since it's made to fit a Qjet and the C20 is still running a Qjet. What I didn't take into consideration though, is the damn EGR valve. It might be in the way. I hate where GM put the EGR valve on the BBC's. I think they did that to block you from adjusting the carb. I was about to post up and ask for opinions about blocking off my EGR on the C20.

Yeah, that's the kind it is. It's from the passenger side like my other ones, I think there's a knock-out on the driverside where the adapter could possibly go there too. That's off memory though, didn't look at that today.

yeah that's the one the plastic piece that goes n the rad support to connect the tube

Ill do some looking, I've seen different ones of those. I've seen a difference with 1 ton ones and 1/2 ton ones also.

Yep, you are right. My 84' C10 Six came with the stock baffle and intake tube on the driver side. I had to punch out the knock-out on the passenger side for my TBI intake.

I think the diesels and big blocks had the coffee can silencers.

Yeah, I think you are right. The '89+ was a different version though.

With all this talk I'm now remembering the duct inlet on the Burb you got from me is different from my other trucks. I remember that the tube never wants to stay attached.

Anywho, I've got this one for a small block that I will go ahead and send in case it will work.
