Hey guys,

I purchased an in tank fuel pump kit from PSI Conversions for my LS swap. I'm installing their pump in a 25 gallon Jimmy/Blazer tank in my 87' R10.

I know I'll have to cut out the hole in the middle of the tank to fit the new fuel pump, but where am I going to fit my fuel sending unit?

Is there another way to read the fuel level?

The picture shows the new fuel tank with the gold fuel pump bracket on the left and the fuel sending unit on the right. The fuel sending unit is supposed to go in the centre of the tank obviously but that is where the fuel pump needs to go.

Sorry if these are amateur questions. PSI is closed on weekends and I need to get some work done on the old girl.

Are you sure the pump doesn't attack to the sender? When I bought my tank and sender, I order one from an 87+, that way it had provisions for an electric pump already. I haven't installed yet, but don't expect any issues like this due to what I've read here in the forums.

I'd wait to talk to them as the parts may be more custom than stock. They may say ah thats easy....just do this, or ah....you got the wrong sender and/or tank, lets do an exchange.

Alright, here goes. Normally yes there is a pump that is attached to the fuel sender.

In my case, I purchased a whole new pump assembly which needed to mounted elsewhere. I was kind of confused where and how to start installing this sucker.

Anyways I got it done. Here is the new fuel pump and fuel sender mounted.
