This is the cheapest Ebay intake on my 5.3 with the Evil Energy carb, on my Chinese Harbor Freight stand, put together with tools from my Harbor Freight toolbox, running fine lol. My 5.9 Cummins in my F350 runs great with it's Chinese injection pump too.

Either China is an existential threat to our future with hypersonic missiles growing potatoes on the dark side of the moon, or their incapable of replicating 100 year old tech, but they're not both lol.

I never knock Chinese products; I'm almost in need of an interpreter in my garage cuz I have so many Chinese tools. All work flawlessly. Only bad experience was with some super-duper cheap screwdrivers I had a long time ago I would have sworn they were made out of butter the way the screw heads all turned to mush.

A few years back I bought a new quadrajet from National Carburetor. It looked nice. I returned it without even installing. There is no way the chinese can replicate a properly functioning quadrajet. Then I saw that Lars took one of those new quarajets to see if it actually performed as well as a real unit. It did not. He had to go through it with a fined toothed comb, if you will, and tweak this, tweak that, adjust this, adjust that, and after many hours of that, he got it to where it worked better than it did out of the box, but still not as good as an actual quadrajet.

Ruggles. went through a new quadrajet I'll get the name of the company in a minute. He's been into 2 of them now and he says you are better off to rebuild a core quadrajet the average consumer would never get all the problems corrected. I also saw a video I'll try to find it and link it, Holley knock off and even after lots of tuning,his car was still down like 40Hp on the Dyno. The thing there is, if you were starting with the Chineese Holley you'd never know that it was down on power. The Quadrajet was a PRW Quadrajet.

I am shocked, stunned, and amazed to see that the gentleman who makes his living selling carbs says the only path to success is to buy from him.

Did not see that coming!

Anywho, my XP version showed up last night, it's made out of Play Do and completely uncoated, ignore the chrome finish. I actually died from touching it and now I'm a ghost

He didn't say to buy from him. He said to buy an old and rebuild it. He sells kits. Yes, he will build one, but the lead time is a ways out, same with quadrajet power. National is the only that has them ready to go.

I've bought enough Chineese crap that was supposed to be just as good. Most of the time it wasn't. Especially after some use. The guy with the Brawler copy, he detailed the problems,and he wasn't selling anything. I know that the Brawler one of my employees bought off of Amazon was junk. We fought for hours to make it right,It was a clone,not an actual Holley.

I bought a brawler(dont remember where i got it) before i bought the ebay carb.could not get the brawler to work correctly.
