going to replace my AC heater control unit, it’s a little beat up.

Would like to hear from some of you with experience if grabbing an OEM head or an aftermarket works better?

If you mean the dash controls, I don’t think total aftermarket would work. The replacement controls from LMC and other vendors do not include the large molded plug on the back of the controls, and that is where the vacuum lines connect. On an A/C truck all the blend doors are vacuum operated, and only the heat setting is mechanical.
