Looking for aluminum wheels for my 90 R2500 and a guy from pitt responded to my ad with wheels from a early 90's' fold bullnose in 8 hole, 16x7. does anyone know if the back spacing from ford to gm is acceptable?

Are you sure it's even the correct bolt pattern? I know that Chevy and dodge shared bolt patterns during this time but wasn't sure about Ford.

Yeah, I believe the bolt circle is the same. I ran 90's GM 8 bolts on a '76 F250. The center hole on the Ford is larger so I had to turn the holes open a bit. I think going ford to GM will work but some quick measurements would be a good idea.

I think it will work, he is an hour away...8 on 6.5 holes, it came from a plain jane f350 4x4 SRW so it had the monster sized hubs - as big as or bigger than the 14BFF. center caps might be an issue getting! ford factory wheels. the clearcoat was leaking so he beaded them and did a black coat that looks, well smokey...might be a nice addition for $150 for all 4

Don't know the offset, but they do fit. I have seen one truck that ran the "conversion" threaded style lugnuts in order to fit modified late model Chevy centercaps.

correct me if I am wrong but aren't 1 ton wheels hub-centric. meaning the hub centers the rim not the lugs. at least on my 1 ton that's how it is. highdesertranger

On the GM trucks they all were. The heavy fords were too the f150 was not

yeah so the center hole must be for a chevy or ford or dodge. you can't interchange them.

I just reread and see he is going to put them on a 3/4 ton. for some reason I thought he was trying to put them on a 1 ton. so never mind. highdesertranger

You can interchange them if its a single rear wheel truck. Yeah, the original Chevy wheels are hub-centric and also have tapered lugs, but the tapered lug seats themselves do a fine job of locating the wheel. So long as the lugs are checked for proper torque several times after install, but that should be done anyway.
