Would it be worth it to put a 96 full float 14 bolt into my square. I bought this axle for 150. Was told it came from an 89 Burban. But it's actually from 96 Chevy. It has 4.10 gear with a factory locker.

Well first off you would need 4.10 gears in the front of your truck. 2nd it would require removing and re-attaching of perches most likely.

If you can cut and weld perches, you may as well use it since you already have it. And if you are careful in removing the perches and shock mounts with a cutoff wheel, you can reuse them without having to buy new ones.

The housing is also a little wider so the rear track width will be about the same as the front. If it's from a 4x4.

So I get the purches removed and ready to be re installed. What's the easiest way to make sure the axle is centered?

Just take measurements. Mount the perches the same distance apart as your stock axle (32.5" I think) and make sure they both are the same distance away from the end of the housing. You will need an angle gauge to weld them on so the pinion is at the correct angle. Just copy the angle of your stock axle.

my opinion is to search for a 14bolt FF out of a 3/4 burban and see if you can find one cheap, save yourself some work, that's what I did
