Fellow member here who spent the afternoon at PAP with me spotted this, so we grabbed it for my Burb. :handshake: We did get the shower of foam removing it, going into our eyes and ears and mouth and hair, lol! :roflbow:

Test fitted the overhead console. I have to go back to pull a part and get the headliner board and roof mounting brackets for it. Didn't realize that they would be needed. But the power plug is in the right spot and matches so that will not be an issue.

Unfortunately I have to pull the headliner down again to install correctly, and I will also have to move the rear view mirror because this goes right up to the windshield trim, so I will have to mount it to the under side of the console once it is installed. It will be well worth it, it is a very nice upgrade. :waytogo:

Did your stock mirror mount to the roof? And I always thought the uplevel '89-'91 Burbs came standard with the overhead console.

He mounted it there because it kept falling off. And it was an option no matter what trim.

Yah, mirror fell off the windshield twice so it's in the roof. And I like it up there because I can see the boat better through the back doors while trailering or hooking up.

Those gloves are from MSC Industrial. I cut the fingers tips off and use them for working on the truck and for boating in the cold weather. They are very comfy. :)

Put some sparkles on them and you'd be the Michael Jackson version of the DIYer :D

The little light that is there now? I might mount it in the back roof so when you open the barn doors you can turn a light on. :)

Cool! Although mine might not have the holes there since it's an '88 model, it looks like it would be easy to get the placement right. That other pic of yours I just noticed shows where to line the front up at.

Not sure about what years might have them. At least it's in a spot you can reach up and feel if they are there.I would assume the TBI models all had it at least. I don't remember the year of the truck I pulled it from but I am sure it was TBI.

'89 was the first year for the console. Maybe I'll get lucky and the holes are there anyway.
