FAIL.

I got a really bad miss in this motor, and I can't get rid of a valve tap. I definatley got at least one totally dead cylinder. All new wires, cap, rotor, plugs, adjusteed the valves 6 ****** times, 4 times by the book and twice by ear. I am really pissed off. Can a bad hydraulic lifter be causing this? :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame:

This is probably a really stupid question but when you put the wires back on did you make sure and put them back to the right cylinder? I always get nervous when taking them all off like that rather than just one at a time (although you can't do that when replacing the cap).

you do know with those fel-pro gaskets you aint supposed to use any type of sealnt or glue at all right? but if you tried it and they still leaked I would glue them too.

Only on the pass side I had too because it was leaking at the back, it think the cover is bent or some ****. Just temp until I get a new set of covers.

bad lifter or bad cam. I never go by the book, throw it out, do a running valve adjustment and hope it works, if not then something is wrong.

Does the tapping noise go away when pressing the gas pedal or does it stay there when the gas pedal is pressed?
