86 Suburban 350 swapping in a crate engine

I am considering swapping in a 350 turnkey crate engine to replace original factory 350 L. Concerned about accessory brackets as my AC compressor is on driver side and original emissions and vacuum connections.
Also if it is a long block I have read that my intake manifold may not fit an '85 and older block which is how the new engines are described. Anyone had experience with replacing an 86 350?

Last year I had a GM rebuilt 454 installed in my truck. My truck is an 85, but the replacement block was a 1990. Heads were the same, so all my smog equipment hooked up with no issues.

When you order the engine make sure you don't get the center bolt style heads (photo #2). Those were used on the TBI versions. Your's should look like the first photo. The link is to the 1st. For some reason GM skips 1986 though.

Thanks I just talked to a rep at Pace Performance. This guy wasn't that sure but thinks in 1986 they went to 1 piece rear main seal. In 1987 they went to fuel injection. So that makes 1986 sort of a hybrid. He stated that if I went with the 2 piece main seal engine ('85 and prior) I would need a different flex plate. If so that is a minor issue for me.
