One other thought. I made the mistake when I was young. I replaced the rear trailing arms in my El Camino. I tightened the bolts with the rear end in the air causing the rear bushings to immediately be in a bind when lowered onto it wheels.

Try loosening the spring and shackle bolts while under static load and re-snug them to confirm the bushings are in a neutral position.

I'm gonna have to try that. I think I had the truck up on stands when i put the springs in and I didn't have the axle installed when I did.

I thought about bags but with the shackle flip i would have to do something custom to fit them. Is yours stock height or lifted?

10 inch lift, had to custom fab all the mounts

Any chance you could get some pics of your bag set up. I think i know how i want to do it, but it'd be nice to see how other people did it.

My 2001 GMC 2500HD had a similar set up to the first picture. The lower mount just clamped to the axle. Square bodies are probably similar to the second.

Thats basically what im looking to do. The only problem is i have 15in between the frame and top of the axle tube, so i need to build a riser block and weld it to the axle tube. Or i go the other route and mount it on top of the spring and space it up to meet the stock bracket that goes on the side of the frame. Just not sure which will look better.

I noticed the same on my K5 when I installed a 3" Tuff country EZ lift, sprigs all the way around. I also have quad shocks up front and singles in the rear. Skyjacker black max.
Not sure how new your springs are but mine needed a little break-in time.

I would definitely change your rear springs if original.

I run 33x12.5R15

Rory did your K5 smooth out
My Bucking K5 has 500+ highway street miles and 60+ offroad miles.
I can not get my 89' Jimmy to feel tight but not harsh. It does great offroad for a fairly stock truck with a couple ORD HD upgrades. However driving the freeways to and from places you can drive OHV trails is a sh*t ride. Hard to describe almost like a harsh boat ride. wallowy
2" Tuff Country EZ Ride Front 3" Tuff Country EZ Ride Rear ORD HD Front shackles and 4 1/2" ORD rear super shackles Both at 90* angles ORD Steering Brace ORD Sway Bar disconnect
Bilstein 5125 fronts in the rear stock position not the forward dual position and also Bilstein 5125 rear shocks.
Thanks

My blazer has been stuck in paint and body jail for months. I haven't been able to drive it.
Sounds like you have a good suspension setup. What wheels and tires are you running?
