My truck is 73.

My RH door is a 73. I know this because the rollers on the regulator are 5/8".

My LH door is not a 73. I know this because the rollers on the regulator are not 5/8".

I am having trouble making the manual window roll up on the LH.

The weatherstrip is kinda beat up.

The regulators are 73 only. 74-76, and 77-86.

The regulator in the door allows the window to roll up but it jumps out of the weatherstrip.

How do I tell the difference between a 74-76 door and a 77-86 door so I can order the right regulator and weatherstrip.

Thanks.

PS I still can't find my alternator bracket.

No. Who looses an alt bracket that is that big, as well as the AC bracket!

Is your window run channel broken or out of adjustment? The regulator doesn't locate the glass, it just makes it slide up and down.

The channel that bolts in at the rear of the door (bolts can be seen on the outside, above and below the latch area) needs to be adjusted so that it holds the glass forward and fully into the channel on the vent window.

Looking at the channel, mine is not long enough to go competely up the rear track across the top and down the vent channel to the bottom. It is also abused from OP trying to make it work. Clips missing Channel pinched. Window was off regulator when I got it. Roller are hard turning because they see to have been installed at an improper angle.

I gotta look more at the door that works. I don't want to take that one apart.

The door panels changed in 77, and so did the inner door, to allow for optional power windows.

How can I tell the difference with an empty door.

The '77 and later doors have rectangular holes punched in the lower area, they are mounting holes for the later style door panels.
