Is the mechanical.gear costly?

You're probably talking about $10-$15 for each gear. Then you'd need the small driven gear housing too.

How fast are you wanting it done? I've got gators chewing my ass at all angles and very busy. If I had the gears loose I'd send you the ****. For 1, I don't know which gears I have. They are all on transmissions. And I might be lying about that too. I might have more VSS units than gear driven. I'd imagine, I'd at least have the gear housing though and then you'd have to acquire your gears. And again, I may or may not have the gears too. Just don't know, and right now don't have time to sort through the ****. After I get moved, should have a bit more time for my trucks and projects. Maybe !!!

What gear ratio, and tire size are you running right now? You plan on any tire size or gear changes soon?

You will have to know the ratio for sure or the speedo will be inaccurate. I might even have the gears.

Okay....... stupid question time.....again. i seem to be asking a lot of those. huh? How do i find out the ratios? I know just as much about trannys as i do electrical. either way. I'm learning so much from you 89suburban and retroc10. I'm very much appreciative.
we did conclude the tranny is from a 90-93 correct? Are there a wide range of gear ratios for that series of trannys?
