I have searched the forum and it was fairly unanimous that i have a damaged oring that goes in a cup on the output shaft. When i take the tailshaft off, it does not apear as i have the part in question. I have attached a pic to show the part. Do all 700r4's have item 958 and 374? Also this yoke is one i bought used from a guy that said it was for a 700r4. My old th350 yoke fits , but is shorter. Are there different yokes for a 700r4. Maybe I have the wrong one? Please help. This transmission swap has been nothing but headaches

@HotRodPC and we have a guy on here that has a transmission shop. I think. For the life of me I can't think of his name.

@NickTransmissions is the guy. Go post up in one of his 700r4 threads, or go to you his YouTube channel and watch his videos. He has much more experience than I do, the proper tools and thorough videos.

Remove the driveshaft and install a rubber cup plug (like a wheel cylinder cup) into the end of the yoke with gasket sealer. The problem comes from the yoke splines wearing and letting fluid into the yoke. This fix has been done on many many vehicles over the years.
