700r4 1-2 accumulator spring replacement

Had a transmission shop rebuild a transfer case for me and install it in my truck. When I picked it up they said they’d noticed on the test drive that the 1-2 shift is a little too soft. Delays a little too long. They said it wasn’t a problem now unless I just wanted to take care of it now but it’s likely a broken 1-2 accumulator spring. Looking online, it looks like I can change that out fairly easily, just drop the pan and filter, unbolt the housing, replace the spring BUT there’s a seal or gasket or whatever I’d have to replace too and then of course what spring should I replace it with and all that stuff. I can’t find any straight answers online as to what parts to buy because they made so many different variations of this transmission. I notice that I can get all these parts and more in a shift kit so is it worth it to throw a shift kit in it or am I better off just buying these accumulator parts? 1987 Chevy pickup built 10/86 so 1986 700R4. Numbers on the case are 6tkm-y-00891496-050-a
