Hello everyone, I have a few questions about installing a 6.5 Turbo setup on my 1982 GMC suburban with red-block 6.2 diesel. I’ve heard that if I use 6.5 TD exhaust manifolds and turbo on a 6.2, there can be injector clearance issues. I read that using short-body injectors can solve this problem.
I picked up 6.5 TD exhaust manifolds, turbo, non EGR intake, and injectors from a junkyard truck for cheap, but I just realized there’s no way to install short-body injectors because my 6.2 uses coarse thread injectors. How can I resolve the clearance issue?
