Hello all. My 86 Scottsdale has the 4.3 w/ A833 trans. The PO changed the original carb to a 600 cfm Edelbrock. Wouldn't a 500 cfm carb be better for the v6? This one looks rather newish so prolly hasn't been on the truck long before I got it little over a year ago. Totally stock truck other than 8" rallys. Any thoughts on the carb size? Maybe bigger isn't always better. Thanks. Muley

The engine will only take as much gas as it needs, regardless of carb size.
Ever heard anyone say that a "750 is too much carb for their engine"?
If your 600 is properly tuned for your 262, it's not too big.

I'm certain many will disagree with me.

I'm just gonna edit all this. I thought he said it came with a 250/292 I6 for some reason. Whoops.
