I had a 85 4x4 suburban in high school. I just bought a 81 C10 suburban to make into an awesome DD for my family.
Coolest part is I bought it from Nolan Ryan, it was part of a ranch that he bought after retiring from baseball. It was always garaged. The interior looks new and I paid a whopping 2100.

I've learned a ton from this site in a week. Enough that I became a supporting member.

I'll post a pic this afternoon. Unfortunately he used his mechanic as an intermediary, so I didn't actually get to meet the man himself.

Had to crop it so I wouldn't give away his address.

I figured that out as soon as I hit submit. I can be a dork sometimes.

Today I had a great Suburban experience. I needed to get some 4X8 sheets of plywood and hardi panel. I flipped down my second row and slid them in.

So much better than hooking up a trailer to my trailblazer.

When I get lumber from work I slide it over the 2nd and 3rd row seat tops (with a blanket over the seats to protect) and 2 x 4 x 16 lumber on top of all 3'seats and hanging out the passenger front window like a Knight holding a sword.
