Good Morning everyone,

Before anyone asks, YES, I have used the search function for this. I have truck listed above. However, it not only is a TBI but also has Edelbrock FI. I have twin tanks with pumps, and a HP pump on the frame rail.

The motors getting tired and I acquired a newly built 383 with a carb.

Im reading that I need an HEI distributor, a linkage kit for the TV Cable for my 700R4 but I have some electric and fuel questions.

-im reading that the mechanical pump wont be able to pull through the in tank pumps. Does anyone have any insight if its easier to add a Fuel Pressure Regulator or is it worth just taking pumps out and putting old style in the tank. (I plan on removing the HP pump).

—Does anyone know any legit brackets made online for the tv cable?

-What can I do with the ECM so i dont get any warning lights etc. im under the impression once TBI is gone that these ECMS dont control much.

But thank you as always! I def would like opinions on the fuel system setup. Id like reliable and basic!

Id remove the pump on the frame rail. I'd run a HOLLEY bypass regulator and take the bulb out of the check engine light, there's no getting around pissing it off. Depending on the carb you run you'll need a correction bracket for that carbureator. Holley or edelbrock buy the one for your carb. The brackets on the manifold there's tons of good ones to choose from or modify your existing bracket. I capitalized Holley on the bypass regulator for a reason. I just helped a friend with a similiar swap. GM did a similiar setup for the zz3 Camaros. They used a Holley regulator top of my head I think the part number is 803. Anyway I told Adam the number and brand, but he bought an evil energy,he had problems problem problems then put a gauge on it and found out it wasn't working right, bought another brand,it leaked immediatly, bought a third it leaked soon. Holley 1st one was good and hasn't started leaking yet. I just checked it's an 803bp. Look for the factory zz3 installation instruction on some of the Camaro sites. Look at the regulator setup for details.

Truck will have a Quick Fuel Electric choke 650. Im under the impression they are made by Holley? Does anyone have the link to a TV bracket setup ?

Rick thank you. Does anyone have any input on building 700r4 versus swapping into a 400? I do like the OD in the 700. I have a 2wd is there a ton of things you need to do to swap to a 400? I believe 400 runs off vac for shift? Does anyone know if driveshaft is same? I assume I'll need to purchase mounting brackets.

You can move your crossmember, you'll need to run a tube for vacuum.youll need a 400 dipstick and tube, and you'll have to add an electric kick down switch. You will need a different drive shaft.
