I'd start with the modual under the distributer cap. I had a 87 while back that kept burning them out and it would loose spark and fuel when they go out.

Auto zoo supposably can test them. From my experience in owning square body Chevys I always carry a spare modual in the glovebox and a nut driver to change them. I have had to change more of them over the years than flat tires on my trucks on the side of the road. That goes for the tbi motors and the old school hei ones

You did check for power to coil to start with and all connections were tight right?

Did you scan for a trouble code? Does the check engine light illuminate when you turn the key to on?

Interesting. did you look at the wires on the pickup coil on the inside of the distributer while you were there?

If the wires are broke or shorted out off the pickup coil yes. Have you tryed the scanner on it yet?

i had a similar problem like that and i changed the ignition module, tps sensor, electronic spark control module, coil, cap and rotor, spark plug wires and spark plugs, also make sure your distributor hold down is tight and the cap does not spin easily that is how i fixed mine

Whoa there, high speed! that was a lot of money you just spent!
Before you spend any more, Check the fuses again...I know you said you checked them, but specifically, you need to check the Gauge/idle,Ecm, ECM B or 2(you may not have it) and the Ignition fuses.

And then you need to make sure you are getting power to the pink wire on the coil, which is next to a terminated tan or white wire. If you are getting no power there, the ignition module will not get power, and you will not get spark or fuel, because you are getting no pulse from the Ignition Module.
And no power at the coil wire could be a bad ignition switch.
