Thank you Guys for all the Welcomes. That's nice. I think the truck is fixed . I have been thinking about a 572 big block . What do you guys think ? I'm a chevy nut. Love small blocks but love the sound of a BB. Do you think The drive train will take it.
Man that would be a sound to hear for sure! If you’re going to be doing burnouts in it all the time, my gut says something in the drivetrain is going to explode at some point. Do you plan on doing an work on rear end/transmission while you restore it?

No burnouts . Just for sound. I don't want it to hot. The trans has been built and it has a after market locker in the rear. 373 gear. I'm a little worried about the transfer case with a BB. No problems with it now Low mileage truck Running 35 inch tires. It may be just dream.

That looks great. I had a 79 short bed 4x4 with a 454 square port heads, comp cam, aluminum intake , headers. 850 double pumper, balanced. I had the aluminum valve covers and the breather. It was nice I love it . I stayed in trouble with it but I was younger. After the kids came a long I sold it . 25 years ago. I wish I had kept it. I will try to add a pic of it .

Start by putting a piece of Pex pipe on the striker.
Then maybe re-adjust. That if your door hinges or latch isn’t wore out.
Being passenger door = less likely wore out.

Hi all, I looked for a description on how to adjust the doors in these forums but couldn't find it. I did put PEX on the strikers and it improved things, but I still have to slam the doors too hard for them to completely close. They do completely close when I do that. Before I change hinge pins etc, is there a way to adjust? If so, how? Thanks in advance.
