1986 K30 bulkhead connector wiring needs replacement.

After hacking through the weeds of the internet and exploring local wrecking yard possibilities I'm back to where I started...with nothing. I need the engine bay portion of the wiring harness which includes the engine bay side of the Bulkhead connector. I can get one IF and only IF I purchase a complete harness for $700 (most of which is not needed and will be wasted $$). Does anyone know where I might get my hands on this portion of the harness circled in BLUE?

Don’t you have a pick and pull somewhere near you? When I lived in San Antonio there were several with old squarebody trucks and you could just pull it yourself. The bulkhead connector is in two pieces, so you can just take out the bolts that hold it together and remove it from the engine side, along with all the wiring.

Engine-side wiring harness may be the same (or with few changes) in multiple years, since most option changes would mostly affect wiring inside the cab.

Are you looking for the little pins to rebuild fix your bulkhead fitting or do you need the entire fitting?

Clarks corvair parts had the little pins when i did my camaro.. I use them to repin and use factory circuits to run aftermarket items.

I just might have one in a harness I bought but didn't use (I ordered the wrong one) - I'll DM you if I have one. Need time to get to the shop and dig around.

If you have the connector body, and it’s in good shape, you can buy replacement series 56 and series 59 terminals from American Autowire or Mosier. I know the Electrical Depot sells the series 56 in various wire gauge sizes in bulk very cheaply.

GM used the same wire colors for the headlights/turn signals/horns/etc for about 50 years. That means there are junkyards everywhere with the right color/gauge wires you could scavenge parts and repair the harness pretty cheap. Just make sure you have the proper crimpers and know how to use them. Work slowly, one wire at a time and take detailed notes.
