Two questions guys for a 84 C20 4X4:
1) Bart wheels has 8 lug 15X14 rims. If I get them will I be able to get away with just grinding the **** off of the brake caliper?

2) Thinking of going 33X13.50 tires. How much lift will I need and could I get away with just a little trimming?

Thanks in advance.

1. do you know the backspacing? That makes a HUGE difference
2. why such a wide wheel??
3. lift also depends a little on wheel backspacing if you're just trying to lift it up enough to avoid trimming anything. It'll be at least 3" but possibly.

I have read both 3 and 4 inch back spacing. I really do not want to lift it byt I'm thinking I may have to. I like that look and have always wanted to have it that wide. I'm thinking the 33 inch tall will be pulled down by putting the 13.50 tire on it.

Wondering if just grinding the brake caliper **** off will allow the rim to fit?

Just checked... From Summitt they show 4 inch back spacing. That would mean most of the rim is sticking out correct?

Sorry , my computer fried so I have no pic's but I have 15x14 barts on my 8 lug blazer and what I did was grind the caliper and ran a 1/4 inch spacer , works great . As far as lift goes , with 33's you could get away with a 4" lift as long as you dont flex it out off road , if so I would think you will need some fender trimming. My tires are 40x17 gumbo mudders with 9" of lift and they are only for mud , they would rip my fenders off for rock hopping. I run 38" toyo's on 10 wides for everyday stuff , soon to switch to 12 wides I think soon , I like the wider look and my fender's are trimmed a bit.

If I was rocking a mall cruizer 14 wides with 33's and a 4" would look bad ass.

Man, I would like to see pics! Think I have narrowed it down to the Bart 15X14 with 33X13.50. Saw instagram pics and guy had 2" spacers. Would 2"spacers keep me from having to grind? Additionally, I have read where some put wider spacers in the rear. Is that because the rears stick out less?

Yes the front axle is a little wider and the front fenders turn in a little also. I would try the 14" wheels first, before buying spacers, they are going to stick out A LOT. They should clear pretty close with a 4" backspace.

This is my 33x12.50x15 on a 15x10 wheel with a 4" backspace. Yours will stick out 4 more inches. And a 13.50 really should be mounted on a 10-12 wide wheel its going to be really stretched on a 14" wide.

I have a Rough Country 2" lift and these tires were a hair from rubbing. With 4" more sticking out you'll need 4" of lift or some fender trimming.
