Getting ready to put a 9k winch on my truck, and it didn’t come with the correct size or length of cable. I will probably have to have new but I’m hoping someone here has switched over to synthetic and still has their old cable. I need 5/16 size, somewhere between 100 and 125’.

Why aren't you going with Synthetic? It's lighter, stronger, and if it does break, it's not going to cut you in half.

Price mainly. Cable is cheaper. And more durable. Since I’m planning on putting it behind the bumper, it will be harder to get to it for maintenance and to keep the cable straight. I figure cable is more resilient so it would work better for my application. Although now I’m kicking around the idea of putting out in front of the bumper to make it easier to work on and with. If that ends up being the case, then I will strongly consider synthetic.
