    That z plate seems short to have that many gears in it it only feels like it's going into gear in the front and back, I found a guy that would rebuild the tranny for $450 I think it may be a little more then I can handle myself. I'll do that first get it moving and go from there and see what happens

    Yeah you guys are right just found a number on t case 241c, so should I take that z plate off it, also there was a sensor at the top on it not plugged in not sure what that goes to I'm guessing a gauge?

    I found a np205 on craigs list for a 350 for $125, is that a good deal or should I offer much less, and will that one bolt right up? Sorry for asking so many question I'm just not very familiar with transmissions and tcases! But I really appreciate all the help so far!!!

    I only paid $450 for this thing, it also needs a power steering pump, but that's a cheap fix, can the transfer case be rebuilt or do I just buy a new one?

    It only tried to move in 4lo all the way towards the seat, the guy I got it from did say it slipped really bad before it went out, so I may need a rebuild and t case?

    Is this transfer case a good one? I think your right it seems to only have 2 gears and a neutral should I put in one that has a 2wd?
