    Aw thanks for the reply. Turned out to be the steering column. Mechanic rebuilt the steering column for 420 bucks and now everything works great again. I dont know what he actually did inside that steering column but he completely removed the column and sent it to a shop.

    Note regarding hinge pin replacement.......hinge pins must be pressed in with a press.....i tried and failed with big hammer and even a vice.....

    So looks like all the torque from the hinge spring went into the lower half of the hinge.....single bolt....causing excessive strain on the door hinge mount where it broke.....instead of dispersing the torque across the entire hinge assembly and 3 mounting bolts

    Well think i found the problem.....frickin hinge was broke....the connector piece holding the top and bottom of the hinge is just gone......wonder how that happened the door been working fine for years lol....

    Driver door makes loud pop sound when opening or closing. Took a closer look and it looks like the lower single bolt on the upper hinge.....door side not truck side...the bolt hole is cracked around and the metal is flexing a lot....anyone have this happen?     I thought the stock setup was the high speed wire runs from the relay straight to the motor for straight 12v power.....I'd like to hook it back up that way if I could figure that out

    Well it had a fried wire behind the dash.....its running 3 relays...one for each blower speed....and the high speed line is running through the regulator then into the blower motor.... I replaced the bad burnt wire and now I got a 3 speeds working......hope it don't keep fryin wires though cuz...

    Anyone know whats wrong with this kick panel vent? The plastic pull rod is slightly bent up to where it hooks on to the vent. I only have the one plastic vent rod the other one on other side broke off..... Could the vent doors themselves be mounted upside down? Looks like the hole for the rod...
