    "The Big 3 Upgrade"

Definitely need to do this on my '74 K20, especially since i'm putting in a new MSD ignition, want to keep max power to the box and coil. Great write-up, looking forward to upgrading my wires and hopefully alternator soon!

    Hi from Southern California

I haven't tried buffing it. There are quite a few rust spots on it so it will need some cutting/replacing on a few of the panels plus a new hood, so I think a new paint job will be in store. The paint is pretty good for original though, I do agree.

    Hi from Southern California

Yeah, that is the original paint. Its a bit rougher than it appears in the picture... maybe I just need to wash it haha!

    Push Bars / Grille Guards

I am having a hell of a time trying to find an old school push bar / grille guard for the front bumper of my K20. I really hate the new style "bull bar" but that seems to be all that I can find aside from the push bar with the complete wrap-around that protects the headlights as well. I just...

Having a GMSB Decal made up for my truck!

I'm thinking that once I get my K20 cleaned up a bit, one of those long bed decals would look nice on my back window :D

    Hi from Southern California

Thanks! Right now I'm torn between removing all of the trim and getting it painted a nice metallic midnight blue or buying all new trim and painting it just like my old C20 was, metallic red with white in the middle. Not sure which way i'll choose yet :)

    Front leaf spring bushings...

So after having an alignment shop look at my truck last week (broken drag link and bent steering arm), they told me that my bushings are completely shot in my front leaf springs. I was thinking I should just replace every bushing, but I dont know if this is a task that is easy enough to do in...

    Hi from Southern California

    Filler neck issues

That's how my auxillary tank is, although I haven't yet attempted to fill it. The guy I bought the truck from in March suggested that I should flush it first. Just looks like it would be easier, but true, might be tricky once you have a big nozzle hanging out of it :)

    Hoods (73-80)

Really? I was checking that one out, seemed too cheap to be good but add in the truck freight and there ya go LOL ... Yeah, I'd definitely get the hood brace kit as well. Seems like a good investment. Thanks for your input!

    Filler neck issues

That's how my '74 K20 is, I have to hold the nozzle just right otherwise gas will spew out. Quite frustrating I must say. I'm thinking of just changing the neck so I can fill it from inside the wheel well instead.

    Hoods (73-80)

Just wondering where the best place is to buy a hood for my truck? I'm so afraid to buy one that is a cheap aftermarket that will just bend when I close it. It is pretty tough finding an original that is in decent condition. Mine is in fairly good shape with exception to the nose of it which...

Where can I find a stock steering arm?

Thanks GreaseDog! Kleedus just sent one to me in the mail, just awaiting its arrival. If for any reason his won't work for me, I will hit you up! I appreciate the reply.

    Hi from Southern California

Hi All, I'm new to this forum but not new to gm square bodies. My dad bought a '74 Cheyenne C20 on the day that I was born. He gave it to me when I turned 16 with a tired 350 (lost oil pressure after many years of dependable service). I rebuilt the engine myself but spun a rod bearing after...

Where can I find a stock steering arm?

Now I am in need of a stock steering arm for my '74 K20 Cheyenne Super. Just had the alignment checked after a day of fun 4x4'ing and my drag link is wasted and my steering arm is bent down and barely clearing the front axle...I can't believe there aren't any companies making stock height...
