Instrument gauge cluster bulb replacement.. now no left turn lights?

I think yours has the gauge cluster plug that plugs inside the gauge cluster and connects to rows of ribbons. The left signal ribbon may have gotten kinked or folded when plugging it in and is not getting a good connection. Just a suggestion.

Wiper motor has no programmed stop/start position

This MIGHT be a possible problem. I worked on my wipers once, and when I reinstalled them, I had the rotating arms on the wrong side of the rotation, by 180 degrees. The opposite side might have the stop that you need. Just a suggestion.

At wits end over my 1984 C10

Try putting in neutral instead of park, it might engage the NSS. Also, you may want to jump the NSS, and if you get the starter to crank then it is your problem. Another problem might be your block ground and not allowing current to the starter. The headlights and others that are working may...

    Oil Pressure Gauge Problems

The fact that it is pegging full, most likely is a grounded circuit through the gauge. The oil sensor is a variable resistor that with full resistance hen the gauge is at 0, and no resistance is at full peg. The problem could be a short in the sensor, but usually when they go bad, it would...

    no fluid to right caliper

I agree, it's most likely the hose. The prop valve will shut off both front or both rear. I had the same problem, the previous owner changed pads, shoes and hoses, except the front right hose. It had blocked off. The reason is that the hose to line connection is very hard to get to, and they...

    250ci exhaust manifold

79Scott, I know it's an old post, but I'm in the same situation as you, needing a new exhaust manifold for integral head. Were you able to find one out there?

79 250 integrated head exhaust manifold crack

I'm reposting this thread under engines, since I previously posted under the wrong forum earlier. So if you are re reading this, I apologize. I have noticed that I have a cracked exhaust manifold for my 79 250 inline 6 with the integrated head. I have searched online, and can not find anything...

79 250 integrated head exhaust manifold crack

The head is okay, but the exhaust manifold is what's cracked. Do you have the exhaust manifold? On the replacing the head, etc., everything runs really well, and I'd hate to go through replacing, head, manifolds, etc. But what I'm realizing, that the integrated head seems to be a lot of...

79 250 integrated head exhaust manifold crack

I have noticed that I have a cracked exhaust manifold for my 79 250 inline 6 with the integrated head. I have searched online, and can not find anything for a replacement. I can find plenty for the NON integrated. Can anyone help on where I can find one? Thanks.

Smog removal and valve cover replacement

Yes, this is a California type mess. It was also in the middle of Jimmy Carter years. I already removed the pipes, etc. I was made aware of some plugs for the holes in the two top 'meatloaf' cans. See link. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mmp-sm66/overview/make/chevrolet Since I can't find a...

Smog removal and valve cover replacement

My alternator went bad on my never-ending newly bought 79 C10 project. When I removed it and took into auto store for testing, the guy asked "when was the last time I changed the oil in my alternator?".... point well taken. With that said, I realized how bad my oil leak is and that it's coming...

    79 250 2nd temp sensor

Problem solved. I was able to find the smaller sensor at O'Reilly here in town (had to be ordered). And yes, Nonstop, it is a Standard TS135. It shows that it was for 1979-1981 models. It is a 'binary' switch that works in tandem with the gauge switch in the thermostat housing. Thanks for...

    79 250 2nd temp sensor

Chengny, thanks for the reply. The sensor you show is the larger one (3/8"), the smaller one is the the metal sensor out of the cylinder head and is (1/8" X 27) and the one I can't find. The terminal can be different. The smaller one is very hard to find. The parts stores and websites don't even...

    79 250 2nd temp sensor

I am a newbie, and just got a 79 C10, I6 4.1 250. I'm having issues with the temperature gauge readings, and the gauge stays at the low 'C' level. I am replacing the thermostat and the temp sending unit(s), and noticed that there are two sensors. One at the thermostat housing (see pic 1) and one...
