    Alt Light addition

Raider L, I never did get this hooked up as I was limited on time and wasn't certain how to make it work correctly. Also I was really hoping to replace one of the lenses for the 4X4 or Choke for a ALT and/or TEMP lense as to not have to "add" a light somewhere. But it seems no one makes these...

    Alt Light addition

Ricko, Yes has a working gauge but was just wanting to add and idiot light as my brother doesn't pay attention to anything. I hooked up a buzzer for the headlights so that he won't leave them on but was just wanting a clean neat looking light for the alt. Didn't know if anyone out there made...

    Alt Light addition

Hey guys, I want to add an Alt light to my truck but it didn't come with one. I understand how to wire it in but I was wondering if there was a replacement graphic that I could switch out in the dash where either the 4X4 or CHOKE light is in the gauge?

    84 wiring diagram decode

Hey guys, was wondering if anyone can "decode" the wiring diagram. I a specifically looking to understand what size wire is needed for each circuit. I have highlighted in the pic below the "code" I am speaking of. Does any of this tell you the wire size? I.E. 3 RED-2 Is one of those numbers a...

    Search for K10 rotor

Craig Christ......Sweet little baby Jesus.......you are the Man!!!! I didn't think that number was a part number and I was unaware of the cross-reference function on O'Reilly's site!! That is the rotor and she is almost perfect!!!! Only way it could be more perfect is if I didn't have to open...

    Search for K10 rotor

Only modification that was done was to have the hole opened up where the hub protrudes through to 4.25". This is why I am searching for this exact rotor style as it requires the least machine work to fit and does not compromise structural integrity or the rotor. Here are the two photos of the...

    Search for K10 rotor

The difference between the one he used and the one that the part number gave me is the diameter of the rear opening for the hub to sit in. His has a diameter of around 7" and the one I got using the provided part number 5020RGS is less than 6". The patrol hubs outtermost diameter is 6.7"...

    Search for K10 rotor

eskimomann that would be great. It seems there must be 2 different size rotors for a K10 but I just can not find the one I need. AuroraGirl, sorry if my pics were confusing, I was just posting some pics I had of my progress. The axle in the pic is a spare Nissan Patrol axle that I am using to...

    Search for K10 rotor

If you are asking about which diff the donor truck had on it I am not sure as he pulled the parts off a truck in a junk yard. But then got brand new parts once he knew which ones he wanted to use. I am not sure what diff a 80' K10 had in it. Lug pattern is 6on5.5..

    Search for K10 rotor

Hope this is a good place to post this question. I am using GM brake parts to do a disc brake conversion on my Nissan Patrol. I have been in contact with a guy who did this before and was using his part numbers to collect the parts needed. But I have run into a snag....it seems the part number...

    Oil Pressure Question

Thanks JT, I'm not impressed at all with this rebuild but it is what it is now. Just gotta run with it and hope it lasts a while. I'll put the new HV pump in just to help make things last hopefully.

    Oil Pressure Question

So would you guys recommend a bigger oil pan if I put the Melling HV pump on it? I've heard that the pump can suck up all the oil in the pan and then cause low pressure issue. Any thoughts?

    Oil Pressure Question

Thanks everyone for your replies, I have swapped out the gauge for a mech one and something I forgot to mention was that I recently installed a Vintage Air A/C system on the truck. So this was the first time I drove the truck with the a/c operational. So after some testing the pressure was...

    Oil Pressure Question

With the shop that did the work there's no telling. I already had to have them replace the rings because it was smoking like crazy. But it's now out of warranty so anything that's wrong is on me. Guess I will look into replacing the oil pump first. If that doesn't work I'll add a heavier...

    Oil Pressure Question

Hey guys, I have a 84' GMC with a rebuilt stock 350. I'm pretty sure the place that rebuilt it didn't do a very good job, but that's another story. Currently I noticed that the oil pressure at idle in Park is about 20 and at cruise is about 40 but when the truck is in Drive at Idle the oil...

    Windshield wiper/washer issues

Ok guys, so I replaced the module, replaced the switch in the steering column but still have a the slow/weak wiper situation. I still get a much better result when I jump the ground/purple at the motor to an additional ground. I've tested the all wires and I'm not getting any reading above...

    Windshield wiper/washer issues

I went ahead and got a module, but it didn't fix anything. Wipers are still intermittent but better and still a bit weak/slow but if I jump the ground they work a bit better.

    Windshield wiper/washer issues

So after more searching and testing it seems that maybe the ground in the column mounted switch is not as good as it should be. If I turn on the wipers and jump a wire from the ground wire on the motor to a known good ground point the wipers work more reliably and a little faster. Question is...
