    Dual Tank questions

    I HAVE A LONG BED-78 with one tank-it is on the passenger side..my 86 gmc short bed.has the dual tanks.one on each side..they do not hold much gas.so if you were going to drive it.on trips.. keep both tanks..i use the left side tank.easy to put gas in.with out walking around..get rid of...

    The ad says it all--they are more then you need..why would any one want that set up.unless you were going to pull houses up and down the road.at 10 miles an hour..would you not be taching..your motor all too hell..over drive.may save you not sure of that..

    I read.there is suposed too be a engine block number.on the back of the engine..the one.i am trying to see the number..is this 454chevy v8 i crawled across the motor..and tried to take photos.of the back of the motor..down loaded the photos-can not see any numbers.has any one else.. Done...

    Some times those..floats.gets..heavy..and when this happens.they need replacing..or they will continue.to hang down and not come up all the way..to shut the gas off..so you are all ways..running rich..i like edlebrock carbs

    10 bolt help. yoke problem.

    if you take the axles out..be careful.the spider gears.may fall down.look at them and see.what is there..shims or what ever.so if they fall you can put them back.the same way..they fell out..if you change the axles-you should install new axle bearings.and seals..

    In jegs or sumit.the gm 350 crate motor-is 1650 plus 150 shipping.the dealer might just match that.if you tell the parts guy.you are buying it to install your self.years ago.you could buy the 350v8 at the dealer.for 1250.00 if they know.the shop is going to install it.they will want to charge...

    these old one piston caliphers..they get rust behind the piston..and thats it.they lock up on your rotor..better change both at the same time.you will have one stronger one and one weaker one..old brake lines.will give on the inside. when the brakes are applied..i seen where.rear...

    Sluggish starter

    solenoid kicks the bendix-starter motor turns the motor..some gm starters.when they get some age..they exspand..from the heat and want turn..never buy rebuilt..buy new...it is pay now or pay later..the headers.should not be a problem.for a good starter..they sit right next to the engine..running...
