    Spark plug wire opinions

MSD 8.5 mm cut to fit wires with 90* boots except a straight on #5, Design Engineering sleaves, and Billet Specialties looms. Have run Taylor Spiro-Pro cut to fit in the past and they held up to the heat well.

Nice ride you have there. I’m assuming the color is more the top pic than the bottom? My truck is Gypsy Red, but depending on the light, can look orange also. Do you happen to know what your color actually is.

What have you done to your square lately??

Discovered yet another senior moment from last fall. Complete interior makeover. Still like finishing console and installing amps. Put stereo unit in but left the detachable head off. 17 days till cruise weekend so started inside detail. Putting the head on, it just would not connect. Then I see...

What have you done to your square lately??

I’ve been without one going on 18 years. It may “feel” a bit different cornering at speed tho. You’ll being losing some body roll control. Guess I’m just used to it. Mine’s off to help with launches on straightaways.

    Still cannot ID engine

Even a crate will have an engine code, just no vin number. Pictures of what you have may help

    Still cannot ID engine

Can you post some pics of all the numbers? All engine codes begin with a prefix letter, the date numbers, and end with 3 suffix letters. At least I think it’s still standard practice to still do this.

What have you done to your square lately??

Since the hood’s still off for repaint, which I should have back Sunday, decided to clean the winter crud off everything. Our cruise-in is the 1st weekend of May so I’m running out of time for the bay to be presentable. Took the carbs off to replace all the gaskets below them & polish them with...

    Cranks without starting - ignition?

Hard to answer the question not actually seeing what you did. Little things usually get left out describing what was actually done. But usually, after making a change and things aren’t what they use to be, then it’s most likely whatever was changed is the culprit. As for the distributor or coil...

What have you done to your square lately??

Pulled the hood today so my son can repaint it. I had a senior moment last fall and left a ratchet in the top pulley. Got distracted for a bit. Went to pull her back into the garage. BAM!!! Literally made me sick. Luckily she was cold and didn’t fire right up. Bad thing is this wasn’t the first...

    Days of My Youth

We used to follow a girl around town in a ‘74. The car and her are still here and the car is untouched and driven. Keeps it under a cover. If you find the pics, please start up a new thread. Old metal is still in my blood I guess.

    Days of My Youth

That cobbled up thing was from our local rent-a-center. All of $10.00 a day. Sure beat using the tree and chain hoist. Still hoping someone from my generation breaks out the old photos and runs them thru the scanner. And thanks guys for looking into my past!
