    ok so I was checking codes wrong. Ive got codes for o2, Map, ESC, and Lean/Rich Exhaust. the MAP and Lean/Rich Exhaust showed up the most though. but the o2 showed first. not sure what shows importance.

    700R4 Lock Up Converter Talk and Diagnose

    Just my 2 cents... The reason the you should pull it into 3rd when towing is to save the sprays inside the tranny. When in 3rd the clutches are used instead. The sprang is what allows you to coast. As far as the lock up converter goes, I have no clue if it will lock up in 3rd or not.
