Is this an aftermarket rear slider?

Please let me know how it works out. Where did you buy the window from? I ordered one earlier this year and they went backordered until now. My order was cancelled and the price went up substantially. They were $269.

    Glow Shift Gauges review

I looked at their stuff a few times. My pros and cons... Cons: All 6 gauges have their name which is excessive. Actually 9 gauges if I do the pillar and add boost/ vacuum, trans temp, etc They don't offer a bezel to fit my '90 which is 1.5 or double din. Pros: Price Flexibility/ customization...

Time for a change. Lets talk flip kits. Help me understand!

I don't like flip "kits" I prefer $20 Mopar axle/spring perches and an hour or two of welding/ set-up. Cleaner, cheaper, simpler, and how the factory would do it. No C- notch needed if not going to tow/haul. If planning on towing/ hauling, I'd buy a notch that helps maintain frame strength by...

11 inch drums fix or Disk brake conversion?

For heavy items like drums/ rotors, I usually order from Summit to save on shipping. They are a few dollars more but usually it's less than the RA shipping.

Nobody warned me about the MPGs on these square bodies!

My '89 K5 (350 Tbi, 700r4) on 35's got 12-14. I added a Vortech S-trim with a big pulley so around 4-5 psi boost and the gas mileage actually went up 1 mpg consistently. I think because it no longer had to "lug" when accelerating. I believe the truck dyno'd right around 225 rwhp with the...

FOR SALE - Gold Upper and Lower Side Mouldings for 1977 GMC Jimmy or Chevy K5 by Mar-K

I have to disagree. I looked at their trim a few years back for our '77 and it was around $2k if I recall correctly. Here is Summits clearance price on just the lower. Not a blazer, and not '77 and still $2300 assuming top would be same price.. If it was less than a $1000, I would have bought it

    Bumper identification question

The plastic bumperettes won't leave a mark as they are plastic and they fit over the impact strip. The rubber strip on their now looks to be cut by hand to fit the earlier, larger guards. There is at least 4 different bumperettes/ guards over the 18 years of these trucks. Additionally, these...

WTB 89-91 Power Mirror Door Window

As the title says, Im looking for a set of door glass for a truck with power mirrors. This is the glass with the black out where the top of the mirror is. Yes I know I could probably paint the glass myself or just use clear but I'd like to have a spare set of originals. Thanks

    Engine Identification - Help Requested

Are you just curious or is there a reason that you are seeking the info? Planning a rebuild, buying parts? I ask, if you are planning, I'd still disassemble to fully identify what you have and conditions before any parts are purchased.

What have you done to your square lately??

I have one and it works well after one quick mod. Mine had two little rubber feet and would sometimes slip/ shift on the tires. I removed the rubber feet exposing the bolt heads and welded large washers on. Much larger surface contact area and it cured the slipping.

What have you done to your square lately??

I haven't installed yet but yesterday a couple neat items came. I bought 2 mirrors for the squares and going to order a 3rd for the Nova. These are from 2014-24 Cadillacs. Neat shape and no rim on the glass. A bit on the heavy side for a mirror. Bought another gas pedal spacer to better align...

Has anyone ever built a 377 Small Block?

Yes, I've been part of a couple builds. Never for a truck as they are/ were best for lightweight cars that spent time in the corners. You could, or at least you could buy cranks with the larger mains so you didn't have to run the spacers. I think you could run 6" rods but it's been so long, I...

    6/8 lowering kit

Its the old "two ways to skin a cat" I just prefer a "cleaner" set-up. I like to ask myself, "how would the factory do it?" And I don't think that GM would use adapter brackets and move the axle back. Nothing wrong with them, just not for me. I weld new perches on, cut off old perches. Cycle...

    6/8 lowering kit

No need to buy a "flip kit". Summit sells perches starting at $15 a pair. Weld them on and be done. No extra weird parts https://www.summitracing.com/search?SortBy=BestKeywordMatch&SortOrder=Ascending&keyword=Axle%20spring%20perches

    2 cycle gas mix ratio

I buy the canned quarts/ gallons from Lowe's, HD, WM. It is ethanol free and everything I put it in runs so much better. Easier starts, no run-on when shut down, and I haven't had to clean a carb since I started using it. If I could buy ethanol free gas near where I live I'd buy that and mix to...

    Led headlight mod

CE has really nice headlight relay kits and also probably the best battery cables you can buy. He's the guy that literally wrote the books on wiring hot rods, etc. https://ceautoelectricsupply.com/headlight-relay-kits/
