    **** ive tried both ways how can i get a press on it if they punch out from the inside? im guessing id have to cut the joint out first? Ive got an idea i dont have a torch but i do have a plasma cutter im gonna burn that ****** out right down the middle take it to work (theres a press there)...

    wish i had a torch all i have is propane...good ideas ill probly try them all. am i right in assuming that the caps can be punched through once c clips come off? i dont get it its like they are fing welded in. ill soak it penitrating oil for a day and try again hopefully i wont have to cut it

    i didnt read all the posts and maybe somebody else mentioned this but if you look on craigslist there is all kinds of square bodies with "low mileage" it's because the odometer rolls back to zero once you hit 100,000. I'd be shocked if there was an old Chevy left on earth that had 50,000...

    good info i didnt know that i measured 1/2 inch gap on each end the middle is a bit closer....im pretty sure the bed is bent up a bit
