Looking to pick up a dually and I keep running into damaged fenders. I haven’t found a source for aftermarket so is there one? I also keep up a search within 200 miles and no luck.

I would hope there are truck body places that sell used caps, OEM bodies, and utility bodies.
around texas,...

finding one like this place is in Ohio can be a chore just to hunt down the right search terms, there are some in PA. (traveling to find a great big place like this one maybe something you have to do).
alternative: pick and pulls with pictures, that you can see that the bed is acceptable. (seen great prices on mint things vs. other sources)

paid junk yards and part houses (some with lots of pics ): www.car-part.com

(...and yeah, the sad part: searching and searching and searching based on whatever name the glue sniffer assigns to the used vehicle coming in,...and what you are looking for maybe on a truck made from 3 others before it landed in the yard to be parted out).

Short answer is yes.
Long answer is: out of stock, production issues, etc

There is a company that makes widened ones.

I keep a constant search on CL and OU and try and buy them when close to me and a reasonable price. However ive only been able to buy 3 drivers sides. I assume they are different side to side but never paid attention. I figure since they are fiberglass, id be able to repair a damaged passenger side using driverside parts if i have to. Once i have a passenger spare to make a complete set just in case. Ill sell the extras.

one thing I notice about the 2002 era pickup trucks running around with the fiberglass flare side bodies.
...some of them are smashed like a dry egg shell.

although not rusted to death like a plain steel body, the fiberglass is just brittle after the same 25 years.
so getting bumped in traffic, or a banging into a tree off road. makes for a wild looking thing with the top of the rear tire sticking out visible.

so if looking for vintage antique used,...maybe aluminum and steel should be on the hunt list,...despite the pretty shapes of some of the fiberglass.

Buy a set of steel stepside fenders… Trim the wheel arch of the bed to suit… Drill mounting holes, bolt them in.

Doing the same with an older Dodge. Turning a D100 (2wd 1/2t) into a W200 (4wd 3/4t) brush truck. Yes, I will freely admit that I am strange…

Nah, not for me. And I have bought a set of steel stepside fenders, they are close but they aren’t the same. The front cut on them for the step is kind of the deal
Killer with them. The ones linked above will do.

ETA- I guess the search continues. Woof on that shipping cost! It’s the same for 1 or 2 fenders. Add a little more to that and I can probably find another whole roller truck that might have a good fender. ;)

There are whole C30s on FB marketplace here for that kind of money. Rust buckets, but usually have good glass and fenders.

Stepside fenders are nowhere close to fitting a fleetside bed. Not at all. Stepside fenders are flanged to mount to a flat surface, but fleetside bedsides are not at all flat.

People have just trimmed them to fit and then welded them on, which is simple enough. But imho, that's hackery. To do it right would mean trimming them to fit, then fabricating new mounting flanges. It's a lot of tedious work to do it right.

You trim through the outer bedside, bolt them to the inner bed wall. Basically gives 50-75% more coverage, allowing more of a “super single” rear tire.

Yeah, I get the idea of it. The outer bedside still needs attached though.

The trend ive seen the last few years is to build stepsides using narrower beds and dually fenders. Looks stock.

Ive never really loved the look of GM stepsides. Actually prefer the Fords look.
