I have the BP3503 in my truck. Long block, cast head, 2 bolt main, much cheaper version that I don't think they offer anymore. Runs great, little over 400 horsepower and torque on the dyno sheet. Only issue i had was with the intake manifold that I put on, summit brand chinese garbage didn't seal and leaked coolant. Swapped to the blueprint intake and it's perfect, around 1200 miles so far with no complaints.

I have the older 390 horse version from years ago with the reconditioned block and iron Vortec heads. I haven't ever fired it up under my ownership, but it ran well when my buddy had it in his Camaro.

I have a BP 454 in my V10. First engine used a quart of oil every 100 miles and had a lot of top end noise. BP paid a local shop for diagnostics three times with no definitive reason for the oil usage discovered. BP paid for the engine to be removed and sent back to them. Three months later, they sent it back to me and said there was no smoking gun for the oil usage. I had the same shop install the engine. 300 miles, seems to run fine. BP was always slow on reimbursement for the work by the local mechanic. They are really slow on the last payment reimbursement. Really slow. Have not paid me yet. They will not reimburse for:
New break in oil
All gaskets
Anti freeze
A/C recharge
Power steering fluid
Etc.
I am on the fence with BP. If they reimburse me for the install I will be a positive promoter for them. If they do not reimburse me I will be the exact opposite. Thought you should know.

Not the model you are looking at, but I put this one in last year. Positive, it runs as advertised. It actually came with 370 HP on the dyno. Turn-key does not really mean “just turn the key”. I had to spend a lot more money on collateral parts to get it to work, and a lot more time tuning it.

The power steering pump leaked before it ever turned over. BP sent me a manual flywheel instead of automatic that I bought and they also sent the motor to Washington state instead of NJ which cost me a month. They of course fixed all of this for free, and I will say customer service has been pretty responsive and “mostly” helpful with tech support. I have about 1500 miles on it and the main seal is leaking. I’ll let you know how that warranty claim goes.
