Oil pressure gauge on my 1985 K20 historically has worked with no issues - replaced the front clip and the bed, new tanks etc. Cranked it for the first time in a year or so and now the oil pressure gauge pegs to the right. It seems to peg the right after cranking it (truck cranks up perfect and runs as it always has)...

Most likely culprit? What would you look at first?

Thanks as always!

Sounds like the wire to the sender got grounded. Maybe pinched under the cowl panel.

If this is truly a 75 it should be a mechanical gauge?? Try a different add on mechanical and see what it reads
I should have originally posted this, but my truck is a 1985 K20...

Disconnect the sending unit and ground it. The gauge should read zero. If it doesn’t, or still pegged out, check the wire for a short to ground. If the gauge does go to zero, before digging too deep I’d replace the sending unit.
