2b or not 2b?
How would you know if your oil pump is bad in a 305 mine sputters and acts like its out of time and dies i just put a timing light on it the other day? And im currently looking for a 327 i just sold a complete 350 86 & up block for $120 with everything to start it any advice this 327 im hoping...- MR.BLACKC10

C'mon with it! ALIRGHT i lifted up box and used 2x4's to hold up on one side and out my way since i dont have the man power to take the whole thing off unscrewed this damn sending unit to find it was missing the little filter at the bottom i looked in tank with my flashlight and i could find...- MR.BLACKC10

Ok thanks guys Thanx for the tip guys i took carb top off days ago when suspected it being dirty and yes i tested the fuel pump by running main feed into red gas tank and return into clear bottle and truck started thats when i figured out that it had to be gas lines or sending unit i checked my...- MR.BLACKC10

DANG! can anyone asnwer this Dropping the tank is not what i plan on doing i think i should be able to pull and inspect sending unit after i pull the bed off completly. how would i determine if i need to replace sending unit and if i do could i switch to a 2 port sending unit becouse mine has 3...- MR.BLACKC10

Thanx but it still wont start i just bought new fuel lines and hooked them up i hooked them up they way they were before (when the truck ran) but now it wont start i swapped the lines end checked but im not even sure wich line is wich on the sending unit yes i know that the 3/8 line is the send...- MR.BLACKC10

i think i got it thanx for the help guys i was chit chatting with my buddy who owns a sweet lifted 86 c10 i told my tranny trouble :anitoof: and i mentioned that i painted it he asked if i covered the airtube in paint and i said probably sure enough i did and when i cleaned it out she stopped...- MR.BLACKC10

Carb on fire I went and dumped gas into carb. And it started and died and i did this a few times and the gasket that goes under air filter cought on fire ( the little ring) and it made a pop sound i noticed that the choke rod is sticking it gets stuck like it doesnt want to go down could that...- MR.BLACKC10

ok thanks jim ill try that i did use gas but she would just burn throught and die im really starting to think this fuel pump is shot its a couple days old i called advanced auto to make sure it wasnt a remanufactured or refurbished one and its not if this doesnt help what should i try next is...- MR.BLACKC10

C10 1986 305 edelbrock 1406 carb. & performer Intake and 700r4. New Tank and Sending Unit and it wont start just replaced the fuel pump and yes i did inspect lines(no kinks or leaks) made sure the push rod was in the right spot made sure the lines were ran correctly and just took top off carb...- MR.BLACKC10
