always use compound 1st, then polish, the glaze, then use a good carnuba wax, give yourself a weekend to do this. go to harbor freight bu a $49 da buffer and some 5" foam pads, and a pakage of micro fiber towels. a 12 pack ought get you through for refreshment beverage.- mbl530

actuator rod to ignition switch
im switching a non-tilt steering column to a tilt steering column, the non tilt is a 75, and the tilt is from a 77. the actuator rod for the tilt column, from what im reading wont fit in the 75 ignition switch, so I will be buying an ignition switch for a tilt column. if my info is correct...- mbl530

Anyone running 20x9 with 275's in the front
go online, there are all sorts of calculators out there for wheels/backspacing and offsets, and tires, the tire one will give you height, etc. just fill in the blanks, and it gives you all the info you need, I've been told you can run up to a 315 on the rear with no rubbing.- mbl530

I have a unit I cut out of my 75 longbed, I moved my fuel tank to the rear and fabbed a filler in the bed so I don't need the original fuel door, that's in great shape.- mbl530

Driveshaft Angle and Phasing
Keith I wouldn't touch the shafts, front or rear. I would shorten the mount that the carrier bearing attaches to. this is what many of the after market guys suggest. I would rather take your advice.- mbl530

My question is in a long wheel base c10, with leaf springs and a 2 piece drive shaft, where there has been an axle flip, and Eaton Detroit 2 inch lowered leaf springs, for a static drop of 7-8 inch drop, my readings...- mbl530

Door needs tweaking
You would be surprised how many times at the factory that the 2x4 method was used. I knew a guy who worked at a GM plant, and doors were adjusted that way far more than we know.- mbl530

drive shaft for lowered trucks
on my flip kit, it is designed to move the rear,.end back an inch or so. This should let me use the stock drive shaft without it having any problems. I will need to move the carrier bearing up about an inch. This is what DJM calls for. Anyone who wants to discuss this, please do so...- mbl530
