    The swap started today.....

I second the Oil pump and rear main seals. I do an oil pump on these about 1 every other week. and the seals are about 3 a year. Also on your springs. You want to look at bind height/ installed height. and give about a .050 safety margin. Installed height - Bind height - .050 , and compare to...

    Driver4r's Monte

Catching up this thread a bit, Engine has been blown up for about half a year. But back in February we found the limits in the stock housing with the new traction, so i ordered a new rearend minus housing, i had a local shop do the housing work. I got it all in the mail then assembled it 35...

    Driveshaft length differences.

What is the length of a sm465/205 with a 12 bolt, And what's the length of a 465/205 with a 14 bolt? If someone could measure them if they are handy that could be very helpfull. That's one of the hold ups with my swap. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Rear end and gear suggestions.

Befor they went to the corperate 10, they had a 12 bolt under the back of them. Other options would be a leaf sprung 9" Ford 8.8 (exploaders etc....)

6.0 liter stock fuel injection HP limitations

as far as the return/returnless setup, if you want a returnless setup, grab a rail off any 4.8/5.3/6.0/6.2 that's returnless. The filter can be found on almoast any vette, and a flex fuel s10. I'm building a meth injected turbo'd 5.3 and I'm going to be around 500ish, its just a trailer...

    Driveshaft lengths

We need to create a sticky with all the driveshaft lengths. So it's a one stop answer. My question. Is a driveshaft in a th350/205 the same as a sm465/205? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Which carb would you recommend

I would strongly recommend one or the other, I haven't used that carb first hand, but ive played with older holleys, and they have tweaked and made a better streetable carb with that one. I would go Q-jet over the holley, but would run both without hesitation

    Which carb would you recommend

heres a holley that is a pretty great all around, its a vacume/chocked carb for a little better mpg, and the choke will ease starting(no chock in 10 below isn't fun). https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/carburetors/avenger/off-road_truck_avenger/parts/0-90670 the offset runners are...

    1983 K10 6.0 swap

depending on the amount of adapters avalible.. mabey. A lot of the time, you need to pull all the guts out and install a different output shaft. But he could keep the trans 2wd and divorce the case.

And that's a pretty mild cam, a nice choked, vacume carb would work perfect.

I see a spreadbore dual plane :shrug::shrug:. For all season driving, My personal vote is a Q-Jet. I say stay away from edlebrock... others will say stay away from holley. But I have yet to find an eddie that has kept up with my holley. Tuning the holley is a bit more...

    16x10 steelies

you don't happen to have a picture do you? I'm going to run 315/75-16s (35x12.5) And I was looking at 16x12s but didn't think the sidewall would look quite right.
