86 High Sierra - Spindle Studs

I'm starting to replace the front left ball joints on my 1986 High Sierra. Truck is half ton 4wd. Just wondering if anyone could tell me if the studs that hold the spindle on are threaded or pressed in. I've got the rotor/hub removed and the nuts/studs behind it that hold the spindle on are...

Module on valve cover? (1986 GMC 350)

Not a lot. No cruise, or anything. Perhaps it's something to do with emission control? The truck is Canadian and did have an air pump and all that jazz.

Module on valve cover? (1986 GMC 350)

I plan on swapping the valve covers on my 1986 High Sierra. The engine is the original 350. The drivers side valve cover has some sort of relay or module clipped to it with wires running to it. Just wondering if anyone could tell me what it is? I'd like to get some info so I can figure out...

    Selector valve removal

Well I did switch it a few times and was able to start the truck on the pass side tank. Not so worried now I had planned on removing all that gear anyway, at a later date but I was able to get at it this morning. Pass tank is out, selector valve is out. Now I just need to couple my lines...

    Selector valve removal

Is it possible I caused the problem myself? I didn't hold the valve when switching to the left tank, I didn't realize I had to? I still plan to remove the valve sometime but if I can buy some time before getting to it that would be great.

    Selector valve removal

I plan on switching my truck to single tank. Conveniently enough my selector valve just went on the fritz. The return line has been feeding into the opposite tank than the fuel pump is pulling from. Couldn't understand where all my fuel went. Just wondering how the fuel lines connect to...

    Side tank removal

I'm not going to use the plastic shield again. I've got a set of brackets in good shape, new straps, a fairly new tank, and am working on sourcing something for anti-squeak pads, and longer line. So really all I've got to do is clean and paint the parts, test the sending unit, and to put it...

    Side tank removal

Are they necessary? They weren't on the parts truck. And thanks for the drawing!

    Side tank removal

Thanks guys. I removed the tank from my parts truck. It's only a few years old and in good shape. I took the whole bracket/strap assemble off together at the same time still attached to the tank. It looks to be the same size as the tank on my driver so I'm going to use the brackets,straps...

    Side tank removal

Fuel tank brackets and removal Excuse my stupidity but I'm fairly new to these trucks. I have an 86 High Sierra with dual tanks. It looks to me like they are held in with large "C" shaped brackets that wrap around the bottom of the tank. One of the tank brackets on my truck has rotted. Also...
