OE replica Steelies in 18x10 8lug?

Toying with going to an OE look with the old truck. White steelies and hubcaps.
But gotta keep 35x12.50s or possibly 37s.
Not a fan of too wide of tire for a wheel, nor the baloon tire look of big tires on small rims. cannot find anyone like wheel vintiques or similar that makes a bigger than stock size steel wheel.
Any suggestions?

Still in the “planning” stage with this truck.
But the tires on it are old, and the wheels are decent but peeling clear and just “meh” 90s looking aluminum wheels.
Thinking about just ponying up for new tires and wheels and the retro OE look but with bigger rims is very attractive at this point.
Them white 18x9 or 20x9 smoothies with OE hubcaps and 35s look better than most aftermarket styles on an old truck IMO.

I agree, steel wheel and dog dish caps is a great look ! 18” would be good

Think I’m going towards 20s instead. Finally saw the white solid steelies in person today. 2 trucks in a row of all things. Looked like husband and wife in 2 nicely restored 1970ish trucks. With dog dishes. They looked sick!

Look in the local ads for GM transport wheels. They are available in 20 and 22". Stop by the local chevy dealer and see if they have any laying around in the scrap pile. You have to drill them and add the clips for hubcaps but that's a lot cheaper than buying the Detroit Steel.

What and where are these GM transport wheels, you speak of, used for? New vehicles don't arrive with the correct wheels?

For sure. I’ve googled/seen them but have never seen any for sale and best I can tell they are only made in 6lug?
I have a 3/4 ton
But I’ll start dumpster diving the Chevy dealers. If you don’t hear from me for a while I might have gotten arrested, lol!

Yeah Detroit makes a style with slotted cutouts like a rally wheel look as well. I’m diggin solid wheel for some reason.
And zero brake dust with a solid wheel. Hate fckin brake dust. And this truck is bad but the brake pads look like new. Although a set of Powerstop ceramics would be inexpensive if they make them for “vintage” rigs

Correct, a lot of trucks arrive in steel wheels and the dealer puts on the $5000 set of custom wheels.
